Research on Representation in Media

Below is a screenshot taken from one of my class assignments. In this assignment, I was required to find examples of representation in media and analyze how various groups, characters or ideas are represented. This assignment was about the effects that media can have on its audience by use of stereotypes, characters among others. With this assignment, we gained understanding on how representation is used in creating meanings as well as the attitudes present in society. Such activities help in developing critical thinking skills about media texts.
